We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
2. Description of Service
MovingCosts.com is an online directory and marketplace that connects customers seeking moving services with moving companies. We do not provide moving services ourselves and are not a party to any agreement between customers and moving companies.
We provide tools for moving companies to list their services and for customers to find and compare movers. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any moving company listed on our platform.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of our service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.
4. Moving Company Listings
Moving companies that claim listings on MovingCosts.com represent and warrant that all information provided is accurate and complete, they hold all required licenses and insurance, they are registered with the FMCSA if operating interstate, and they will provide services as described in their listing.
We reserve the right to remove any listing that we determine to be inaccurate, fraudulent, or in violation of these terms. Listing fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers using MovingCosts.com to find movers agree to provide accurate information about their moving needs, conduct their own due diligence before hiring any mover, and verify that any mover they hire holds appropriate licenses and insurance.
We strongly recommend that customers obtain multiple quotes, read reviews carefully, and verify mover credentials through the FMCSA database before making any hiring decisions.
6. Fees and Payments
Free listings are available at no cost. Premium and Featured listing plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. All fees are in US dollars.
Monthly plans may be cancelled at any time and will not renew after the current billing period. Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year and are non-refundable except in cases of verified billing errors.
We use Stripe for payment processing. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
7. Limitation of Liability
MovingCosts.com is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MovingCosts.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, or from any moving services arranged through our platform.
